How do I request a refund for my subscription?

All PostureScan subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store, so refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple. Here's how to request a refund:

Method 1: Via reportaproblem.apple.com

  1. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find your PostureScan subscription purchase
  4. Click "Report a Problem" next to the charge
  5. Select your reason and submit the request

Method 2: Through the App Store app

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone
  2. Tap your profile icon at the top right
  3. Tap "Purchase History"
  4. Find your PostureScan subscription
  5. Tap "Report a Problem" and follow the prompts

Note: Apple typically grants refunds for purchases made within the last 14 days if the app was not extensively used. Refund approval is at Apple's discretion and subject to their refund policy.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your PostureScan subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select PostureScan
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Important: When you cancel, you'll continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.

Where is my data stored? Is it private?

Yes, your data is completely private! All your scan images, posture measurements, exercise history, and progress data are stored securely on your personal iCloud/CloudKit storage.

PostureScan does NOT store any of your personal data on our remote servers. We cannot access your scan images or posture data.

During scanning, images are temporarily sent to OpenAI's API for AI analysis, but OpenAI has logging disabled and does not retain any data after processing. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

My scan results seem inaccurate. What should I do?

For the most accurate posture analysis, please ensure:

  • You're standing 6-10 feet away from the camera
  • You're wearing form-fitting clothing (not baggy clothes)
  • The room has good lighting with no shadows on your body
  • Your full body is visible in the camera frame
  • You're standing in a natural, relaxed posture

Remember: PostureScan provides guidance and suggestions, not medical diagnoses. If you have concerns about your posture or experience pain, please consult a qualified healthcare provider.

The app isn't working properly / I found a bug. What should I do?

We're sorry you're experiencing technical issues! Please try these troubleshooting steps first:

  1. Restart the app: Fully close PostureScan and reopen it
  2. Update the app: Check the App Store for the latest version
  3. Restart your device: Sometimes a simple restart fixes issues
  4. Check your internet connection: Posture analysis requires a stable connection
  5. Ensure iCloud is enabled: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud and make sure iCloud Drive is on

Can I use PostureScan on multiple devices?

Yes! Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, so you can use PostureScan on any iOS device signed in with the same Apple ID.

Your data will automatically sync across devices via iCloud/CloudKit, so your scans, progress, and exercise history will be available everywhere.

How often should I scan my posture?

We recommend scanning your posture daily to track your progress and stay motivated! PostureScan is designed for daily use alongside your personalized exercise routines.

Daily scans help you:

  • Monitor small improvements over time
  • Stay accountable to your posture goals
  • Identify which exercises are working best for you
  • Build a consistent wellness habit

Consistency is key! Focus on your daily exercise routines and watch your posture improve day by day.

Is PostureScan a medical device?

No. PostureScan is a wellness and fitness tool designed for self-improvement and educational purposes. It is NOT a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The posture analysis and exercise recommendations are for informational purposes only. If you have medical concerns, chronic pain, or pre-existing conditions, please consult a qualified healthcare provider before using the app or following any exercise recommendations.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes! To delete your account and all associated data:

  1. First, cancel your subscription (see above)
  2. Delete the PostureScan app from your device
  3. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > PostureScan and delete the data

Alternatively, you can email us at support@posturescan.app to request account deletion, and we'll assist you with the process.
